Why not just take the type you did with the posters and lay them right over the pictures you have there? I think that the scipt'y..ness' of the font would be a nice addition to the romantic old Spain images you have.
Or you could print out the pictures and start working with them by hand. Writing on them, rubbing text on to them. Sometime it is hard to just stare at a computer screen when you are stuck, it helps to have some tangible in your hands.
